INDICATIONS

Treatment, prophylaxis and eradication of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Achromobacter infection.

DRUG INTERACTIONS

Alendronate, Etidronate
Increased risk of hypocalcaemia.

Aminoglycosides
Increases risk of nephrotoxicity, reduces doses if concurrent use essential.

Amphotericin
Increased risk of nephrotoxicity.

Ciclosporin
Increased risk of nephrotoxicity.

Loop diuretics
Increased risk of ototoxicity.

Muscle relaxants
Enhance muscle relaxant effect.

Pyridostigmine, neostigmine
Antagonised effect.

Teicoplanin
Increased risk of nephrotoxicity and ototoxicity.

Vancomycin
Increased risk of nephrotoxicity.

NOTES

Pre-treat with bronchodilator before nebulisation. Monitor renal function on IV.
