Antiemetic
INDICATIONS
Prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting. Improving gut motility and reducing nausea during overnight NG or gastrostomy feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS
Dicyclomine
Antagonise effect on GI activity.
Opioid Analgesics
Antagonise effect on GI.
Drugs which increase QT interval
Domperidone increases the risk of QT-prolongation when given with drugs such as Clarithromycin.
NOTES
Use lowest effective dose; max 1 week. Contraindicated in cardiac disease.
