INDICATIONS
Severe constipation with colonic loading. Osmotic laxative (bowel cleanser). Bowel preparation; DIOS in CF.
DRUG INTERACTIONS
Probenecid
Reduces excretion of cephalosporins.
Warfarin
Rare reports of increases in prothrombin time.
NOTES
Large volumes — may be poorly tolerated; NG tube sometimes needed.
