INDICATIONS

Treatment of urinary and respiratory infections caused by sensitive organisms.

DRUG INTERACTIONS

Cyclosporin
Increased risk of nephrotoxicity. ? Reduced cyclosporin concentration.

Dapsone
Plasma level of both drugs increased.

Methotrexate
Antifolate effect increased, increased risk of haematological toxicity.

Phenytoin
Level of phenytoin increased.

Procainamide
Increased concentrations of procainamide.

Repaglinide
Enhances hypoglycaemic effect avoid concomitant use.

Warfarin
Anticoagulation effect enhanced.

NOTES

Monitor U&Es with long-term use.
